APPOINTMENT OF A DISTRICT JUDGE (MAGISTRATES' COURTS)

Her Majesty The Queen has signified Her intention of appointing Diana Margaret Baker to be a District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) with effect from 15 May 2006. Miss Baker will be based at Manchester City Magistrates' Court.
Notes to Editors
Miss Baker, 46, was admitted as a Solicitor in October 1989. Since 2002 she has been Head of Legal Services with Leicestershire Magistrates' Courts Service - responsible for Loughborough, Melton, Belvoir and Rutland Petty Sessional Areas. She was appointed as a deputy District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) in 2000.
