Her Majesty The Queen has signified Her intention of appointing Kristina Harrison to be a District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) with effect from 7 February 2005. Miss Harrison will be based in the South Yorkshire Commission Area.

Miss Kristina Harrison, 47, was admitted as a Solicitor in March 1981. She has been a Sole Practitioner since 1985. She was appointed as an acting Stipendiary Magistrate in April 1998 and became a deputy District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) on the Unification of the District Bench in August 2000.
